Ambassador Sharon L. Cromer and the Minister Higher Education, Research, Science, and Technology, Prof. Pierre Gomez, officially inaugurated the U.S. Embassy’s new American Corner in Fajara today. The grand opening was attended by principals and students from our corner’s partner schools, academicians, U.S. Embassy and American Conner staff, and various other partners of the embassy.
This expanded space promises to offer enhanced services to students, entrepreneurs, and the public at no cost. The corner features a computer-equipped lab for educational purposes, as well as a venue for hosting academic events, all available for free. It is also home to the embassy’s podcast studio, providing a platform for embassy partners to engage in discussions on our shared interests.
The opening signifies the official commencement of the center’s operations, and we extend a warm invitation to members of the public, especially students and entrepreneurs, to make the best use of this valuable space. The American Corner is located in Fajara, near the Tropic Garden Hotel. We look forward to welcoming you to this exciting new center.
