The Kanifing Municipal Council today donated D100, 000 towards the Scorpion’s participation in the upcoming AFCON 2023 in Ivory Coast.
In receiving the cheque, Mr Musa Sisay, a member of the NCC expressed delight and appreciation of the council’s continuous support whenever needed.
He said if the council has only supported the team morally, the NCC would have equally appreciated that and concluded by thanking the council through the mayor for being very supportive to support
In Handing over the cheque, Lord Mayor Bensouda said the Gambia’s qualification to the AFCON alone has raised our national profile. He expressed appreciation to the national response to the NCC’s called for support.
He concluded by calling for a national prayer for a successful campaign in Ivory Coast.
