1. The Gambia Armed Forces is pleased to inform the general public that it will conduct a special selection for potential Officer Cadets who will pursue Bachelors of Science Degree courses at the US Army, US Air Force, Naval and US Coast Guard Academies Class 2028 in the United States of America. To be eligible for selection, prospective candidates must meet the following criteria:
a. Candidates must not be less than 17 years of age.
b. Candidates must not be more than 18 years of age by 31 July 2024.
c. Candidates must have at least six (6) credits including English Language and Mathematics in grade 12 WASSCE.
d. Candidates must be unmarried and without dependents.
e. Candidates must be citizens of The Gambia and be of good moral character.
f. Candidates must be prepared to serve The Gambia Armed Forces upon return.
g. Candidates must have taken SAT (Scholarship Aptitude Test) or ACT (American College Test) with scores not less than 580 and 480 respectively.
2. Interested candidates are requested to pick GAF Officer Cadet Application Form from the Defence Headquarters in Banjul on Mon 20 November 2023.
Application Forms must be submitted with photocopies of school certificates, Birth certificate, National Identity Card and/or School Identity Card to the Defence Headquarters in Banjul on or before Friday 24 November 2023 at 1100hrs.
