Today 10th December 2023 the chairman of the Brikama Area Council Hon Yankuba Darboe visited victims’ families to pay condolences, accompanied by the kartong ward councilor bubacarr M. Kanten, and Alagie Bah the nominated councilor of Brikama Area Council.
Speaking during his visit chairman Darboe described this as enough to have formal employment, income rates are so low as to still make it nearly impossible to make ends meet. Slow economic growth, limited employment opportunities, and food insecurity have driven a dramatic increase in Migration .We can’t continue to neglect the youth population and pretend that all is normal when the state has no meaningful agenda for the youth! Kartong lost 29 this year and not only a loss for kartong but the entire Gambia.
Under my leadership, I will continue to stand strong to end corruption so we can generate more revenue to support the youth and defend their future.
